Frequently Asked Questions

Question: If I’m told my prescription is too early to be filled, will it be processed automatically when it is time to be filled?

Answer: Unfortunately, the answer is No. If you get a message that your prescription is too early to be filled, you will also be told on what date it can be filled. It is your responsibility to resubmit a request for that prescription on or after the date on which it can be filled.

Question: What can I do if I have problems with the refill website after normal pharmacy hours and nobody is available to help me?

Answer: We understand that problems may occur with the refill website and often at inconvenient times.  If you are not able to use the refill website, you may still submit refill requests by phone at 1-866-939-0008.  If it is after normal business hours and support staff is not available to assist, you may submit an email to our refill website team using the Contact page.  We will respond to your issue during the next business day.  Please remember that refill requests are processed during normal pharmacy hours, so you will still have an opportunity to resolve the problem and submit your refill request during the next business day.

Question: Can I have my refills mailed to me outside of Oklahoma?

Answers: Yes, medications can be mailed to other states.  Make sure that registration has the correct address on file for you as that is where your refills will be sent.  All address changes must be processed by the medical records or registration staff.

Question: Can I use the refill website to request refills on prescriptions ordered by a provider that does not work for Cherokee Nation Health Services?

Answer: Cherokee Nation pharmacies are able to fill prescriptions that have been ordered by either (1) a Cherokee Nation provider at one of our health facilities or (2) an outside provider to whom our patients have been referred through contract health services.  The prescription must currently be on file at a Cherokee Nation pharmacy before it can be requested via the refill system.

Question: What are the Health Topics and Drug Information options on the website?

Answer: These 2 links will take you to websites that will allow you to find information about your healthcare problems and medications.  Please utilize the information provided to learn more about your healthcare plan.

Question: What is the Pharmacy Locator?

Answer: This page lists each of our Cherokee Nation pharmacies and provides information specific to each of them: address, phone number, pharmacy hours, and directions to them.  A map is provided that will allow you to identify which location might be the most convenient for you.
