Cherokee Nation Health Services (CNHS) will be assuming operations at the Claremore Outpatient & Emergency Health Center on October 1st, 2025. We are committed to ensuring a seamless transition of care for patients. To support this, we have published the FAQ and information below.

Cherokee Nation has signed into law the Cherokee Nation Claremore Outpatient and Emergency Health Center Act of 2025, which authorizes $255.5 million to construct a new Claremore health facility. This plan includes $11 million in upgrades to the current facility so that CNHS can bring our standard of high-quality care to Claremore patients. The future is bright for Cherokee Nation Health Services at Claremore!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Cherokee Nation provide transportation services?

Yes, Cherokee Nation Health Services does provide transportation services for patients at its health centers. Transportation is reserved for clients with the greatest need on a first-come, first-served basis. Patients must reside within the Cherokee Nation Reservation. 

For additional information or to inquire about scheduling transportation, patients can call their preferred CNHS Health Center or the following:

Does Cherokee Nation offer mileage reimbursement?

No, Cherokee Nation does not provide mileage reimbursement. There are specific situations where the Tribal Emergency Assistance program can assist with emergency needs.

For emergency needs, the Tribal Emergency Assistance program can be contacted via Purchased and Referred Care at your closest Cherokee Nation Health Services health center.
