Formal Didactics

Formal didactics are held every Friday afternoon from noon to 5 p.m. Sessions consist of guest/faculty lectures, case presentations, test interpretation practice (EKG, CXR, etc.), and board review. Additional topics covered include procedural training, case simulations, point-of-care ultrasound, and discussions of topics in various areas of business, ethics, personal finance, and practice management

Journal Club

Journal Club is held twice-monthly, including both resident and faculty-led sessions. During these sessions, residents are trained to critically analyze journal articles regarding study designs, data analysis/collection methods, and interpretation

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine

On a monthly basis, residents will receive hands-on OMM training/practice as part of formal Friday afternoon didactics. Training sessions are case-based and designed to simulate actual patient scenarios, as well as to help prepare for the board certification exam
