Cherokee Nation Health Services’ facilities are available as clinical rotation sites for medical students during the third and fourth years of training. All rotations are considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to availability. The following rotations are currently offered:

Third-Year Rotations
• Internal Medicine
• Family Medicine
• Pediatrics
• OB-GYN
• General Surgery

Elective Rotations
In addition to the above listed third-year rotations, the following are available as elective rotations in both third year and fourth year of medical school:
• Emergency Medicine
• Radiology
• Anesthesia
• Wound Care
Both two-week and four-week elective rotation options are available.

Audition Rotation
This is available for students interested in applying to the residency program. The rotation is structured as follows:
• One Week Resident Clinic
• One Week Inpatient Service
• One Week Pediatrics
• One Week Elective
Throughout the rotation, students will have opportunities to work with multiple current residents across different settings. In addition, students will participate in program didactics.

Rotation Requirements
Before a clinical rotation can be considered, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) musty be established between the student’s medical school and Cherokee Nation Health Services.
